Helen Lauder, Principal Consultant, Immersive Digital Technologies is a forward-thinking specialist who drives the integration of virtual, augmented, and extended reality (VR/AR/XR) technologies into the higher education learning and teaching landscape. Helen's role requires a keen understanding of emerging technologies, pedagogical approaches, and the ability to forge partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to develop sustainable, cost-effective, and scalable VR/AR/XR solutions that enhance student learning and engagement.

Helen supports the Education and Research, Digital Experiences Portfolio within QUT's Digital Business Solutions by providing leadership and consultancy in technical capabilities, Extended Reality (XR) governance and policy, and immersive and innovative digital literacy uplift for the QUT community.

Helen also provides guidance and consultancy to other areas of the university around the affordances of using XR in different contexts such as; Health, Safety and Environments, Sports, Widening Participation Outreach, High School Engagement Programs, Student Experience, Wellness, Public Engagement, Events and Sustainability.
